Default Interstate GC-2 U-2200 6V battery;

I've had 2 6V batteries in the MH since we bought it. Shortly after buying it, one of the Trojan T-105's case split, and I replaced it with the Interstate U-2200. Now, 4 years later, the second T-105 has taken a shit! Aarrg!!!!!

So...... I'm replacing both batteries with a pair of Optima Blue Top batteries, (just ordered today, online). The Interstate is still in great shape, specific gravity is perfect, and load tested perfect! It's 4 years old, and has been charged daily via my solar system.

Any interest? Make offer. Ratz get a shot at it before going on CL.

If the Interstate U-2200 is 4 years old and is still working great why not get the same one again. the Optima Blue Top batteries wont last near that long. I used to run them in my race cars and only lasted for a year or so.
Just asking not trying to rain on ya.

Maybe you should have been using the Red Top's, as Optima recommends, rather than the Blue Top's.

I'm SICK to DEATH of the boiling over, the corrosion and the ruined cable ends. Yes I could purchase 2 new U-2200's and the capacity and reserve amps would be more than the replacement Optima's. BUT, as mentioned above, I'm DONE with wet batteries. With a two year replacement, and a 5 year prorated warranty, I'll take my chances. YES, I would LOVE to be in a position to afford a pair of Concorde 6V batteries, but the economic's just aren't there at the present time. My Solar system has allowed the Trojan 105 to last 7 years, and I'm hopeful the Optima's will be competitive in life expectancy. Time will tell.

Derwud;
Come & git it!! Cept, the new ones won't arrive for about 10 days or so. Superbowl weekend might work.
